Students to Tackle Robotics in DriveMind’s ‘BotCamp this Summer
Want to offer your students a different kind of summer camp this year? If so, ‘Botcamp might be the perfect choice! ‘BotCamp consists of four 90-minute sessions over two weeks to give students in grades 3-4 and 5-6 the opportunity to interact with a real robot. Parents looking for a fun summer camp in Northeast Ohio will jump at the chance to give their kids hands-on experience with this innovative technology.
Hosting ‘BotCamp is easy because the DriveMind team administers each session at your school to introduce students to the EZ-Robot. Like its name suggests, the EZ-Robot is easy for children to use, yet complex enough to teach them basic programming that gives the robot commands. Students will learn the Blockly coding language to make the EZ-Robot speak, move and even recognize faces! Best of all, your students will have so much fun they’ll forget they’re learning.
The 2018 ‘BotCamps are planned for the weeks of June 11 and 18. Sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays. ‘BotCamps for grades 3-4 will be held in the morning, and ‘BotCamps for grades 5-6 will be held in the early afternoon. At the fourth and final session, parents are invited to attend the last half hour to see the students lead a presentation demonstrating what their robots can do!
